About Permit Patter

Permit Patter is the official newsletter of the MPPC. It's published bi-monthly. Some of the regular features include:

  • Club auction of MPP material for members

  • Information on new MPP cancels available from members

  • Various articles about interesting or unusual MPP cancels -- both new and old

  • Monthly Secretaries report with new members, etc

Each issue of Permit Patter is mailed by a member of the club using their MPP cancel. Each issue includes a short article about the town that Permit Patter is being mailed from.

All mailings are arranged by Chris Anderson. If you are interested in becoming a mailer for Permit Patter, you can contact Chris at:

P.O. Box 1161, Plainfield, IL 60544-1161 . Or by email at ckanderson@wrm.us.

When the club started, the newsletter did not have a name originally. It wasn't until the third issue (Vol 1, Number 3) that then editor Bob Johnston gave it the name that has stuck to this day, Permit Patter.

If you would like to contact the Editor of Permit Patter: Scott A. Shaulis, 3955 Hickory Hill Rd., Murrysville, PA 15668 or scottshaulis@comcast.net.
