In the Fall 2011 pricelist, I mentioned about a collection I bought where the owner used old pill bottles to store coil stamps. Several other customers have written to suggest other storage containers.

One suggestion was to take plastic tubes for holding coins and use them. The tubes that fit quarters or half dollars work the best for coil stamps. Their diameter is similar in size to a roll of coil stamps. You can find coin holder tubes at any place that sells supplies to coin collectors. However, the tubes will cost you a little money.

Another customer said that he uses the empty plastic tubes from 35 mm film. The advantage here is that the tubes aren’t as long as the coin tubes. And they are free! However, due to digital photographs, how much longer will 35 mm

Thanks for the wonderful suggestions from my customers. I hope these ideas help you out too.
